Wireless Speakers
This range of wireless speakers for Philips’ high-end audio brand Fidelio was designed to meet the changing demand for streaming music from connected devices like smartphones, tablets and computers. In essence, each unit is a standalone speaker and contains a wireless receiver, amplifier and multiple drivers.
Taking cues from furniture and home interiors, the speakers use materials such as wood and upholstery fabrics to fit unobtrusively into the domestic environment. Tray like wooden tops provide a natural place to lay any streaming device and near field communication technology adds to the seamless wireless experience. With a full user interface on the streaming device, a simple and intuitive play/pause button and volume control is all that is needed on the speaker itself. Additional ports and buttons which are only used occasionally are easily accessible at the back, whereas permanently attached power and network cables are neatly hidden in the base. The bass vent is designed to double as a carrying handle on most models.
The range was composed to offer choice and flexibility for the wireless home audio landscape and included five different sound solutions - from a small portable omnidirectional speaker with internal batteries and induction charging, to a pair of stereo towers with large acoustic volume and rich bass.
