Continuing our collaboration with Nura, these are the brands first entry into the true wireless earbud market.

Combining incredible sound quality and comfort with the same self tuning technology as the original Nuraphone, these discrete wireless headphones have given the Nura sound an entirely different level of portability.

Working closely with Nura’s internal team, we helped to define the industrial design of the headphones with the aim of creating a simple but qualitative and highly identifiable design. The design was driven by usability and comfort while careful thought was given to ensure ease of manufacture and assembly. The earbuds are designed to look neutral when in use, with only the polished logo insert giving a flash of contrasting detail. The user side of the device is driven by the complex anatomy of the ear, optimised for fit and retention in different use cases and ear shapes. This side of the device was carefully refined to arrive at an aesthetically balanced solution to a very challenging and heavily constrained geometry.

We also helped to guide the design of the Nura True Pro, the top of the line variant which is the most advanced wireless earbud on the market, and the first to offer lossless audio over bluetooth. This model retains the True’s formal simplicity and form language, with the addition of a premium quality ceramic bezel around the perimeter of the earbud to provide a further high quality touch and element of differentiation between the otherwise quite similar designs.

Like the original Nuraphone, which we also designed, the Nura True Pro was also launched on Kickstarter where they raised more than US$ 1 million in presales in the first 24 hours.
