Lunch Box
Packed lunch boxes are universal, and while their form and content may vary, their utilitarian nature has ensured a timeless relevance and unique cultural importance.
This lunch box, originally designed for the exhibition ‘1×Many, Many×1’ takes inspiration from traditional Asian meal containers, like the Taiwanese ‘biandang’, Japanese ‘bentō’ and Korean ‘dosirak’ typologies. The lunch box consists of a stackable bowl, tray and plate, which form a closed volume when nested. To prevent any leakage during transportation the stack is held together with an elastic X-band, which gives the lunch box a considered gift wrapped quality and a pleasant unpacking experience.
